Oil Pulling- Have you Tried it?

There's been alot of hype about Oil Pulling and the benefits it may have on your oral health and possibly overall health. From what I've seen there is little scientific evidence on the claims that oil pulling reduces bacteria(e.g. Streptococcus) in the mouth and therefore reduces the incidence of cavities and gum disease, and also reduces levels of yeast(candida) which helps with oral thrush, bloating, gas, diarrhea, constipation, fatigue, headaches and even depression. Anecdotal reports have indicated that many people have found benefits from oil pulling. Some have even found that their teeth got whiter and brighter.

As far as I can tell, oil pulling doesn't hurt and may be beneficial to your oral and overall health. But please note if you decide to try it, it should not replace your regular oral health regime of brushing and flossing.
